DAVENPORT, Iowa — The wait is almost over; opening day for the 2024 Freight House Farmers' Market is just a few days away.
The market will open for the season on Saturday, May 4 and will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will also be open on Sunday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Officials with Freight House said opening weekend will feature live music from local musicians curated by Common Chord, prepared food, food trucks, artisans, bakers and more.
"The Grand Opening Weekend of the Freight House Farmers Market is a celebration of community, creativity, and connection," Executive Director Missy Carter said in a press release. "We invite everyone to join us as we embark on another season of supporting local growers, makers, and artisans while enjoying the best local products that the Quad Cities has to offer."
