City of Moline prepares for Riverside Riverslide opening

Moline residents who have missed the old waterpark will have an opportunity to dive into the new aquatic center this summer.

MOLINE, Ill. — Get those swimming trunks and goggles ready because the City of Moline Parks and Recreation Department is ready to debut its new Riverside Riverslide for the season.

Representatives with the City of Moline will tentatively open for the summer on May 25.

Inside the new facility, the city has added three new water slides, a lazy river, a splash pad, a shared park shelter and much more to the former waterpark. In addition to the physical amenities the waterpark will be open longer hours, depending on the school season and staffing levels, and the 2024 season will last an extra three weeks longer than previous seasons.

Here are the Riverslide's general admission fees:

  • $7 for general admission per person
  • $3 for children 3 and under per person
  • $3 for lap swimming sessions per person
  • $3 for water walking per person

Another added perk of the Riverside Riverslide is that members of the Two Rivers YMCA can include the aquatic center in their membership at no additional cost.

Birthday party packages and swim lessons will also be offered at the new aquatic center and can be scheduled through the Moline Parks and Recreation website.
