EAST MOLINE, Ill — One person is dead after a shooting at the Deerfield Woods Apartments complex in East Moline on Saturday, May 4.

Around 11:45 p.m., East Moline police officers responded to the complex on 51st Avenue for a shots fired report, according to a press release.

Upon arrival, police found 22-year-old Michael J. Robinson, of Davenport, had been shot multiple times and was unresponsive. Police say they began life-saving measures prior to EMS personnel arriving. Robinson was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday by Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson.
