BETTENDORF, Iowa — April is Donate Life Month, and you can help honor local organ donors and their families at the first-ever Celebrate Life Walk.
The event takes place at Veteran's Memorial Park in Bettendorf at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m.
All money raised from the event will be donated to the Iowa Donor Network for support opportunities provided to donor families and education. The event aims to spread awareness about the impact made by organ, eye and tissue donations.
Special speakers include an organ recipient and a donor family. It costs $20 to register for the walk.
