DAVENPORT, Iowa — Cinema lovers will have a new place to enjoy their favorite movies, and they'll even get a view of the stars while enjoying the show.
Beginning on Sunday, May 5, the rooftop lounge at The Last Picture House will be open for business. The lounge will offer a full-service bar with cocktails and mocktails for visitors to enjoy, a fire pit, plenty of seating and a river view to accompany their movies. A sold-out screening of "Spaceballs" will be on May 4 to commemorate the Star Wars-themed holiday "May the Fourth."
The Last Picture House celebrated its grand opening in downtown Davenport in December 2023. The venture is co-owned by Hollywood writers and Bettendorf natives, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The pair co-wrote the blockbuster film "A Quiet Place."
