Davenport Fire Department paints fire hoses with Hawkeye-themed colors ahead of Final Four

Davenport firefighters used some downtime to paint their fire hoses black and gold to honor the Hawkeyes as they prepare for a Final Four showdown with UConn.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — The Davenport Fire Department is having some fun on social media ahead of Iowa's Final Four match-up.

Firefighters at Central Station used some downtime to paint their fire hoses black and gold to honor the Hawkeyes as they prepare for a Final Four showdown against UConn. Some of the hoses were painted with Iowa Tigerhawk logos and the jersey numbers of Iowa's starting five:

#20 Kate Martin
#24 Gabbie Marshall
#45 Hannah Stuelke
#3 Sydney Affolter

In a Facebook post, the Department said "Best of luck on game day! Do your job!"
