Get outside with Moline Parks and Rec's free Yoga in the Park

The series of classes will begin on May 4.

MOLINE, Ill. — Looking for a chance to unwind and spend time outdoors? Moline Parks and Recreation announced Wednesday that its free Yoga in the Park series is back. 

The first class of the season will be on Saturday, May 4 at 9 a.m. Classes take place every month at Harold's Landing overlooking the Rock River (North Shore Drive and 52nd Avenue). Daina Lewis, who has 15 years of experience teaching yoga, will lead the classes. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Each session lasts from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the following dates: 

  • May 4
  • June 15
  • July 20
  • Aug. 24
  • Sept. 14

For more information about Yoga in the Park, contact Stacey Laake at (309) 524-2422 or slaake@moline.il.us. If a session is canceled due to weather, a notice will be posted on the Moline Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook page.
