MACOMB, Ill — Western Illinois University's nursing class of 2023 received a 100% passing rate on the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX).
The NCLEX, which is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, certifies that nursing students are ready to enter the profession. All 27 members of the WIU class of 2023 successfully passed the exam on their very first attempt.
“This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication of the nursing faculty in providing quality education to their students, as well as to the diligence and hard work exhibited by the students in their exam preparation,” WIU Nursing Director Patricia Eathington said.
WIU was one of just three Illinois schools to reach a 100% passing rate in the class of 2023.
