Moline Police are investigating a potential crime scene at a home in the 1800 block of 46th St. in Moline.

Neighbors report that crews of investigators have been there for hours on Wednesday, Jan. 24.

News 8 had a crew on the scene who reported that crime scene tape was up, blocking the driveway off. The home is a gray-colored ranch-style house.

Multiple police vehicles were near the home. One Moline Police Department car was parked, with another driving up and down 46th Street. Two Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigator cars were also parked at the home.

Police personnel were seen looking inside a sedan car parked in the driveway. A CSI photographer was taking photos of the home, including shots of the front door handle. A Moline police officer was posted at the front door of the home.

Police crews on the scene were unable to give comment to News 8 crews. News 8 reached out to both Moline Police and Illinois State Police and is awaiting further information. ISP responded to say they are assisting Moline PD.
