Infant, drivers rushed to the hospital after rural Henry County crash

An infant was airlifted to the hospital after a serious crash on County Highway 12 Friday morning after one driver allegedly ignored a stop sign.

HENRY COUNTY, Illinois — An infant and two drivers are in the hospital following a severe crash near Western Township, Illinois Friday morning, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office.

At about 10:26 a.m. on Oct. 28, first responders were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Route 12 and N. 1800th Ave.

Initial reports indicate that one of the drivers disobeyed a stop sign, leading to the accident.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital by ambulance and an infant was airlifted from the scene by a MedForce helicopter. There is no information available on their conditions.

Authorities said that no charges have been issued as of now, but may come in the future as the investigation continues.
