DAVENPORT, Iowa — A man has died after being struck by a vehicle while walking in a Davenport roadway.
In a Monday news release, Davenport police said that authorities responded to the 9000 block of North Division Street just after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 14, to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Investigators said that an SUV was driving southbound on Division Street when it struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as a 38-year-old man, died as a result of his injuries.
The crash is being investigated by the Davenport Police Department Traffic Safety Unit. There is currently no additional information.
