Village of Carbon Cliff searching for seasonal workers to help clear snowy roads this year

Carbon Cliff is looking for seasonal assistance to help keep roads clear this winter.

CARBON CLIFF, Ill. — Editors Note: The video attached originally aired on Oct. 11, 2023, and focuses on the statewide need for plow drivers through the Illinois Department of Transportation. District 2 applications have closed but others remain open. More information can be found here

The Village of Carbon Cliff is preparing for winter but needs some assistance.

Public works crews are looking for on-call plow drivers to work during this upcoming winter. While they encourage prior snow removal experience, that's not a requirement of any applicant.

The city will pay $21 an hour and will call in snow removal crews when accumulating snow reaches two inches or more.

The application link can be found here, or a physical copy of the application can be returned to 1001 Mansur Ave. in Carbon Cliff. Any questions can be sent to the Village Director Nick Gottwalt at n.gottwalt@carboncliff.com.
