SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa — The Scott County Conservation Department has begun opening campgrounds for the 2024 season with updates and renovations.

We provide you with some key updates for each park:

West Lake Park

The Park Terrace Campground is open for the season; however, there are a few temporarily closed sites due to ongoing construction. A new playground will also be completed within the next several weeks.

On the other hand, Summit Campground remains closed until further notice due to the addition of sewer hookups to each site. The repaving process should be completed during the next few weeks.

Scott County Park

ALL Scott County Park campgrounds are now open except for Incahias, which is closed indefinitely due to mechanical issues.

Follow Scott County Conservation's Facebook for more camping updates. For more information about camping, and other conservation activities visit their website.
