SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — On Monday, November 23, health officials were reporting an additional 8,322 cases of COVID-19 statewide.
Overnight, there were 6,171 patients in the hospital with COVID-19; 1,206 of those patients were in the ICU and 635 were on ventilators.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 11,552 deaths statewide.
The entire state is operating under Tier 3 mitigations.
