The Adopted Closet has been selected as the April recipient of Eriksen Chevrolet’s Three Degree Guarantee.
For each day of the month that the temperature is within three degrees of the forecasted high temperature, The Adopted Closet will receive $20 from Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan, Illinois. Each night, the WQAD Storm Track 8 team will predict the next day’s high temperature. The forecasted temperatures are compared to the actual temperatures recorded by the National Weather Service.
The Adopted Closet is committed to helping adoptive families with outstanding legal fees. The mission started as a way for the Berrie family from DeWitt, Iowa to pay it forward after a generous gift allowed them to finalize the adoption of their daughter. Through the sales of vintage and gently used clothing, The Adopted Closet has raised enough money to cover at least 13 adoptions. For the Berries, supporting a family’s adoption journey means giving families security and permanency.
