Center for Active Seniors (CASI) has been selected as the October recipient of Eriksen Chevrolet’s Three Degree Guarantee.
For each day of the month that the actual temperature is within three degrees of the forecasted high temperature, CASI will receive $20 from Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan, Illinois. Each night, the WQAD Storm Track 8 team will predict the next day’s high temperature. The forecasted temperatures are compared to the actual temperatures recorded by the National Weather Service.
CASI’s mission is to provide services that promote independence and enrich the lives of older adults through socialization, health and wellness resources, and supportive services. Located on West Kimberly Road in Davenport, CASI’s facility hosts social events, fitness classes, meal services, and opportunities to work with advocates.
CASI also operates the only adult day program facility in Eastern Iowa, serving seniors with early onset dementia, seniors with specific physical needs and seniors who enjoy a daily routine filled with physical and mental activities and social interaction. Jane’s Place also provides caregivers with much needed respite and allows caregivers to continue to work.
