The heavy showers and thunderstorms we saw this morning gave way to a break in the action through most of the afternoon before another round started to develop to our west this evening.
We’ll be keeping an eye on the potential for flash flooding especially for areas north of the I80 corridor overnight. This was an area where 1 to 3 inches of rain has already fallen from morning activity, and with an additional 1 to 3 inches possible later today the potential for high water exist.
Come Sunday, the coverage is expected to be more widely scattered which is likely the same coverage I see on Labor Day, Monday. Temperatures will remain warm and quite humid with daytime highs around the mid 80s and overnight lows around 70.
