A strong cold front passed through our region shortly before midnight. Strong wind out of the north 15-25 mph will continue to buffet our area this morning. Wind chills have dipped into the upper teens in Northwestern Illinois by 6am. Very cold conditions will last all day long. More sunshine is expected later today as the wind slowly subsides.
