This morning, Good Morning Quad Cities Meteorologist Eric Sorensen made a promise. No, not a promise for a completely dry weekend. Instead, he promises not to use the word lightning until the end of the Stanley Cup Finals! “It seems that every time I say the “L” word, I am cheering on the opposing team in some sort of way. So now, I will refer to these things as flashes, zingers, thundermakers, and sizzlers. Heck, it might be something that sticks with me!”
Game 1 is tonight in Tampa as the Chicago Blackhawks will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He also puts the challenge out there for the News 8 sports team and Tom Skilling and the weather folk at our sister station, WGN-TV.
You can watch Good Morning Quad Cities live from 4:30 to 7 weekdays on WQAD-TV and here on your computer or mobile device.
