BUFFALO, N.Y. — A new trend is pushing more and more young people to spend hundreds of dollars on travel.
The trend is called fear of missing out, or FOMO.
Three out of five young travelers say they've gone on a trip, or are planning one, to go see a live event, like concerts, comedy shows or a sporting event. A third of those travelers cite FOMO as the reason why they're making plans.
Kevin Fairbanks-Bloom, a senior advisor with AAA, appeared on Most Buffalo to speak about the trend.
