Jordan Spieth became the number one golfer in the world after finishing second in the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
The Wisconsin tournament came to a close Sunday, August 16, 2015 with Jason Day as the big winner, who shot seven birdies to a final day 67, according to PGATour.com. This made for the Australian golfer’s first major win at the PGA Championship.
Spieth, the 2013 and 2015 John Deere Classic Champion, came in second, which pulled him ahead of Rory McIlroy in the No. 1 spot in the world.
