SILVIS, Ill. — The numbers are in — the 2024 John Deere Classic's Birdies for Charity drive has broken another record.
On Thursday, Oct. 10, JDC officials announced that the drive raised more than $15.9 million for the year, beating out 2023's total of $14.1 million by approximately $1.8 million. The money will be distributed to more than 470 local charities.
"Tournament week is very visible for our group," JDC Tournament Director Andrew Lehman said. "It's the reason we're here, but this day, today is why our staff gets up and goes to work every day. It's for the impact it's having right here on our Quad Cities community."
Since the JDC was founded in 1971, the tournament, along with its Birdies for Charity program, has helped raise nearly $190 million for charity.
