ELDORA, Iowa — A 12-year-old boy is in custody after a fatal shooting in Eldora.
The Eldora Police Department and Hardin County Sheriff's Office responded to a home Sunday afternoon. When they arrived, they found a 13-year-old girl dead inside the house, according to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
"Upon completion of the investigation, all information will be forwarded to the Hardin County Attorney’s Office for review," the DCI added in a news release.
