A festival in Davenport is a place for Quad Citians to relax, eat some good food, and listen to music.
At LeClaire Park downtown Davenport, the River Roots Live and Rib Festival goes through Saturday, August 17, 2013. Barbeque vendors from around the country compete for festival patrons’ votes for the People’s Choice Award.
“We just work so hard and we come out here and do all this work and it’s so rewarding to just have them praise you and tell you how great it is,” said Kelly Johnson from the Chicago BBQ Company.
Musical acts over the weekend include The Wallflowers, Shooter Jennings, Vintage Trouble, and Bodeans. Click here for a full lineup.
Admission is $5 after 5 p.m. on Saturday, but free before 5 p.m.
