Workers interested in positions at Thomson prison can apply for open positions at a job fair set for Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in Rock Island, Illinois.
They are looking for heating and cooling specialists, electricians, correction officers, and a cook supervisor. Other positions may be available, according to information from the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
The job fair is hosted by the IDES and Administrative United States Penitentiary (AUSP) Thomson. A human resources specialist will be at the job fair to answer questions and help with the application process.
The job fair was set for 10 a.m. to noon at Partners in Job Training and Placement, 500 42nd Street, Suite 4, in Rock Island. Applicants can also get online application help from 1 to 4 p.m. that same day.
