RIVERDALE, Iowa -- A fire that was reported at Alcoa, Inc. has been put out, according to a spokesperson from the company.
It was shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 when the fire was reported. According to Public Affairs Manager John Riches, it was a small fire and was quickly put out.
Emergency crews from Riverdale and Bettendorf responded to the scene, Riches said.
A spokesperson from Alcoa said the fire started at the west end of the plant. It is unclear what caused the fire.
There were no reported injuries.
