Amber Alert ended for Illinois children allegedly abducted by father

A brief Amber Alert was issued after a three-year-old boy and four-year-old girl were reportedly abducted by their father in Waukegan, Illinois.

A brief Amber Alert was issued after a three-year-old boy and four-year-old girl were reportedly abducted by their father in Waukegan, Illinois.

Dyniste Finley, age 4, and her brother Dejavante Finley, age 3, were reportedly abducted by their father, 23-year-old Dejavante Finley. The abduction allegedly happened at 15 South County Street just before 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014.  The Amber Alert was issued at about 2:15 p.m.

Finley was last seen driving a dark blue 2006 Chevrolet Malibu with temporary Wisconsin license plates K7561C.

“Finley is considered armed and dangerous,” according to a post on the Illinois Amber Alert website.

Photos of the children and Mr. Finley were not immediately made available.

About 40 minutes after the Amber Alert was issued, it was removed from the Illinois Amber Alert website.  A spokesperson for the Illinois Amber Alert Task Force said the children were recovered safely.
