Driver thrown from motorcycle trying to pass RV on LeClaire, IA roadway

After an attempt to pass an RV along a LeClaire, Iowa roadway went wrong, a motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and was airlifted to the hospital.

After an attempt to pass an RV along a LeClaire, Iowa roadway went wrong, a motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and was airlifted to the hospital.

The collision happened around 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015. According to a statement from the Scott County Sheriff's Office, the motorcyclist was headed westbound in the 25000 block of Valley Drive, which is a no-passing zone, and tried to pass an RV-Motorhome that was backing into a private driveway.

During the attempted pass, the motorcyclist hit the RV and was thrown, according to the statement.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet; the statement said that the motorcyclist was then airlifted to the hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
