Two Rock Island men have each been sentenced to 15 years in prison for their involvement in a March 17 drive-by shooting in Davenport.

Sentenced were Markell Dixon, 20 and Brandon Branigan, 25. Both pled guilty to intimidation with a dangerous weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.  Each sentence carries a mandatory minimum of five years, due to the presence of a firearm, according to information from the Scott County Attorney’s office.

The pair had attempted to flee from police after shots fired from their car struck a building and a parked car in the 100 block of Central Park Avenue around 4:30 p.m.  on March 17.
