MOLINE, Ill. — Charles Hart joined the WQAD News 8 team as a multi-skilled journalist in August of 2022. He graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa with a degree in TV/Radio Broadcasting. Originally, he is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa and graduated from Xavier High School in 2018.
While attending SAU, Charles was a student reporter for "Dateline SAU", St. Ambrose's weekly campus newscast. He got the opportunity to learn a lot about the different aspects of the campus through his student reporting. He's also won multiple awards of merit and top finisher awards for his work.
Charles has been a bowler since he was 10 years old and bowled varsity all four years of high school. Charles was also a collegiate bowler three out of four years while at Ambrose. His high game is 279. Charles is also the drummer for a band called "Washington Avenue" who in October of 2022, released their second album!
