Vettes the River has been selected as the September recipient of Eriksen Chevrolet’s Three Degree Guarantee.
For each day of the month that the actual temperature is within three degrees of the forecasted high temperature, Vettes on the River will receive $20 from Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan, Illinois. Each night, the WQAD Storm Track 8 team will predict the next day’s high temperature. The forecasted temperatures are compared to the actual temperatures recorded by the National Weather Service.
Vettes on the River is an (almost) annual car show – featuring only Corvettes – that benefits Quad Cities veterans’ organizations. Corvette owners from all over the nation travel to Le Claire, Iowa not only show off their prized possessions, but also to show their support for local veterans. Since 2010, Vettes on the River has hosted anywhere from 20 to more than 200 Corvettes and welcomed donations to benefit local veterans. The 2022 Vettes on the River was held on August 27 and raised $12,000 for Quad Cities veterans’ organizations.
