Humble Dwellings has been selected as the January recipient for Eriksen Chevrolet’s Three Degree Guarantee.
For each day of the month that the actual temperature is within three degrees of the forecasted high temperature, Humble Dwellings will receive $20 from Eriksen Chevrolet. Each night, the Storm Track 8 team will predict the next day’s high temperature. The forecasted temperatures are compared to the actual temperatures recorded by the National Weather Service.
Located in Eldridge, Iowa, Humble Dwellings helps transform the living spaces of those less fortunate by utilizing gently used, donated furniture and household items to create spaces that are warm and inviting. Receiving referrals from other local, nonprofit organizations, Humble Dwellings often works with those fleeing domestic abuse, sex trafficking or those in need of additional assistance. Funds raised from this month will be used to purchase mattresses and bed foundations.
