MOLINE, Ill — The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has been selected as the April recipient for Eriksen Chevrolet’s Three Degree Guarantee.
For each day of the month that the actual temperature is within three degrees of the forecasted high temperature, The Center for Youth and Family Solutions will receive $20 from Eriksen Chevrolet. Each night, the Storm Track 8 team will predict the next day’s high temperature. The forecasted temperatures are compared to the actual temperatures recorded by the National Weather Service.
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions is one of the largest social service agencies in Illinois. With 11 offices across Illinois, they annually serve nearly 4,500 individuals in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities, over 8,000 families in 37 counties, and over 20,000 individuals statewide. The main program areas focus on serving children and families who have experienced life-changing trauma, abuse and neglect, or other significant life challenges. Their goal is to help each child and adult learn to cope with those experiences and help them achieve their fullest potential. The Rock Island office provides Foster Care and Intact Services, Behavioral Health Counseling, Adoption, and Youth, Family and Community Outreach Services. During these unprecedented times, The Center for Youth and Family Solutions is an essential business, protecting children from abuse and neglect. The agency has a call out for volunteers to make fabric masks for their social workers and the families they serve, and are also looking for donations of diapers, baby wipes and formula, and any sanitizing materials to provide to families in need. Alternatively, anyone can make a monetary donation through their website at www.cyfsolutions.org.
