Severe thunderstorm and tornado alerts were issued across the Quad City area in the afternoon of Saturday, May 23rd.
Hail was spotted across the area as early as about 7 a.m. in some locations.
Tornadoes and funnel clouds were spotted multiple times in multiple locations, some of them reaching the ground and touching down.
Tornadoes and funnel cloud spottings were reported in Johnson County, Toronto, Mechanicsville, and Andrew. One was seen to have touched the ground in Milledgeville.
Near Coleta, possible tornado damage was spotted upon the discovery of down power lines and a snapped tree.
Most of the Quad City viewing area remains under a Tornado Watch until 8 p.m.
