FORECAST | Winter weather advisories posted for parts of Northeast Ohio

A couple sunnier yet cold days are ahead!

CLEVELAND — Lake effect is the name of the game... at least for some of us this evening!

As of late Thursday morning, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Medina, and Summit counties have been under a winter weather advisory for ongoing, intense bands of lake effect snow. The lake effect will likely last through much of the evening; therefore, the advisory is in effect until 4 a.m.

If you're headed out this evening (commutes included), please travel with caution as lake effect snow has the ability to drop visibility quickly. With temperatures being sub-freezing too, slick spots are still more than likely.

Good news though... While temperatures don't get a huge boost tomorrow, sunshine takes over. A few flurries likely in the morning but beyond that things look to clear out.
