Boundary responsible for the drenching showers and gusty thunderstorm winds this morning has stalled across the area leaving behind some filtered sun and humid conditions.
This will keep temperatures in check for the rest of the afternoon with highs in the lower 80s.
We'll keep an eye on this same boundary as a few more thunderstorms could pop up as we head toward the evening hours. If so, we're focusing on areas near the Quad Cities and points south.
The threat will end by mid-evening as skies improve and temperatures drop around the mid-60s.
Very warm and humid conditions will highlight the next several days with daytime highs around the mid to upper 80s.
Another approaching boundary is still on track to arrive by Friday with an isolated coverage of showers and thunderstorms.
Brighter skies will prevail this weekend and early next week until our next round of wet weather returns as early as Tuesday night.
