Grab the umbrella: Best rain chance since Mid-July!

Rain is likely today, which will also bring about much cooler temperatures.

Aside from the derecho storms more than three weeks ago, today will bring us the best chance of rain since middle July!

Rain will overspread the area from the southwest to northeast through the morning with some embedded thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts could top one inch if there are thunderstorms present with the rain today. Rain will be likely for most, especially those south and east of the Quad City Metro. Temperatures will top out around 74 degrees.

Rain will end by dinnertime with drying conditions overnight. Fog will set in after midnight, especially over land that got rain during the day. Low temperatures will be around 61.

We're back into a Summery pattern for Wednesday and Thursday with highs 80-85 degrees each day. We'll be a touch cooler on Friday before we rise back into the 80s for Labor Day Weekend.

A cool front will sweep through with an isolated storm on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday look quite cool with highs in the 60s and 70s. Rain will be possible on Tuesday.
