Brighter skies ahead

Big swing in temperatures this week

Area of low pressure responsible for the cold rain and snow mix for the first half of the day will leave behind clouds, fog and even some drizzle in spots through the evening before we just see clouds the rest of the night.  This will also result in a brisk wind out of the northwest dropping temperatures in the 20s overnight.

Tuesday's weather picture will be a typical February day with seasonal highs around the mid 30s under brighter skies developing.

We'll keep the sunshine going but at the same time temperatures will be colder as polar air will spill out of Canada for the next couple of days. Certainly, not the cold we had last week as I'm expecting highs both Wednesday and Thursday around the mid 20s with lows around the 10 degree mark.

We'll warm nicely heading into the weekend as a return or southerly flow blows across the area with highs around 40 on Friday replaced with upper 40s both Saturday and Sunday!

In fact, we'll extend the sunshine right through Saturday before more clouds return on Sunday.
