Whitey's closes store temporarily for positive COVID case

The company says a staff member at their stores in East Moline and Rock Island have tested positive for the virus.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. — Two Whitey's locations are closed after employees tested positive for the coronavirus. 

The company says a staff member at their stores in East Moline and Rock Island have tested positive for the virus.

Whitey's says they aren't required to close stores but are choosing to as a precaution.

Whitey's says closing temporarily is the right thing to do. All other locations are staying open.
