A zebra that reportedly escaped through an open fence gate was later found in a neighborhood near its home in Altoona, Iowa.
Police got several reports of a zebra roaming the streets near the Sam Wise Sports Complex Saturday morning, May 16, 2015.
Two police officers managed to capture the zebra, and gave it some water while waiting for its owner to arrive.
"All in a day's work for Sgt. Kerchee and Senior Officer Harmon!" said an online post about the incident, shared on the department's Facebook page.
