ROCK ISLAND- The Score Pre-Game Pep Rally was moved indoors Friday, August 24, because of rain.

Rock Island High School's game later Friday night has been moved up as well. The sophomore game against St. Charles East will be played at 4:30 p.m. The varsity game at Rocky Stadium is scheduled to start around 6 p.m.

The Rocks have a lot going on Friday afternoon during the game as well. The school will recognize the state champion softball team Friday. They also plan to show off a brand new scoreboard and give out 200 free tickets to Denkmann Elementary, Earl Hanson Elementary and Eugene Field Elementary, for an event called School Appreciation Night. Athletic Director Michelle Lillis talked about the events Friday.

Dr. Beth Narske from the Rock Island Animal Hospital brought $10 Amazon gift cards to give out to some of the students during the morning pep rally.

Narske showed off her adorable cat Elanor not once, but twice Friday morning. Check out the other video below.

Thanks to the Rocks for appearing on the pep rally for the third time in the past four years!
