Spieth will not play in 2016 John Deere Classic

After announcing his intention to not play in this year’s Olympic games, golfer Jordan Spieth announces he won’t play at the John Deere Classic.

After announcing this week that he would not be competing for Team USA in the Rio Olympics, speculation started running high that Jordan Spieth, the two-time John Deere Classic champion, may return to Silvis for another shot at the title. It appears that this will not be the case.

On Tuesday,  Spieth announced he would not be competing in this year's John Deere Classic during his press conference preceding The Open Championship.

Jordan Spieth says he feels it would be inappropriate to play in the John Deere Classic after withdrawing from Olympics.
