15-year-old in Davenport killed after gun was unintentionally fired, police say

A 15-year-old boy was killed after a gun was unintentionally fired, according to police.

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- A 15-year-old boy was killed after a gun was unintentionally fired, according to police.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, February 17 the Davenport Police responded to the 2400 block of North Michigan Avenue for a person who was shot.   The victim was found dead in the home.

An autopsy was performed on Monday, February 18, police said.  Investigators said the shooting happened with "an unintentional discharge of a weapon."

The boy's name was not yet released.
