The 28th Annual Great River Tug Fest is this weekend and for one business - it will be its last.
"It's On The River," a bar and restaurant in Port Byron, Illinois, is closing its doors after seven years.
"It was a little bit overdue," Owner, Cindy Bawden told News 8. "The business plan was really for five years. It's been seven and it's just kind of time. It's kind of bittersweet, but it's time to go on and do some other projects."
"It's" last day will be Saturday, August 16th and Bawden says they're looking forward to a great last weekend with their customers and workers during Tug Fest.
"We've had fun. We've been very fortunate to have great patrons and good employees and because we slowed down a bit in the winter, I said - let's go through one last Tug Fest and wind 'er up."
