Illinois City man ejected and killed in crash

A 65-year-old man died when he lost control and crashed his pickup truck west of Andalusia, Illinois.

A 65-year-old man died when he lost control and crashed his pickup truck west of Andalusia, Illinois.

The crash was reported at about 10 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013. 

Police said the man was traveling westbound on Illinois Route 92 when he lost control about three miles west of Andalusia. 

The truck crossed over the oncoming lanes and went into the ditch along the south side of the road where it overturned.

Police said the driver was ejected.  He was not wearing a seatbelt.  He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

No one else was in the truck, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The driver’s name was withheld pending notification of his family.
