Power was restored to thousands of residents around the Quad Cities during a winter storm  in the area. Several hundred still remained in the dark, however.

Early Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015, MidAmerican Energy was reporting no power outages in the Quad Cities. Hundreds of people were still without power in Galesburg and Monmouth, according to Ameren Illinois’ Outage Map.  There was no estimated restoration time.

The numbers from Tuesday morning, December 29, 2015, show just how much the power outage numbers have declined since. MidAmerican was reporting 457 households without power Tuesday morning, primarily in the Illinois Quad Cities. That number was down to 121 by 2 p.m.  There were more than 1,200 without power in the Galesburg area Tuesday morning. That number was down to 668 at 2 p.m.
