WQAD News 8 is teaming up with Sexton Ford and QC Crime Stoppers for the second annual School Safety Raffle. Sexton Ford is giving away a 2006 Ford Focus ZX4, with just over 68,000 miles on it, and all taxes and registration paid.

In order to win that car, people need to buy raffle tickets, either from Sexton Ford or participating high schools.

Quad City high school students who are members of the Scholastic Crime Stoppers Clubs are selling the tickets at their schools and sporting events. People can buy one ticket for $5 or three tickets for $10.

Proceeds raised from the raffle go towards Scholastic Crime Stoppers in Quad City area high schools. These clubs promote safety in the schools by helping track down stolen items, and return them to their owners.

The raffle is going on through the holidays. The winner will be announced on WQAD News 8 live at 6:30 p.m. on January 28, 2016.

For each high school involved, QC Crime Stoppers will match half of the money raised and give it to the school's Scholastic Crime Stoppers Club. The school that sells the most raffle tickets will get an additional $1,000.
