Police looking for man who committed armed robbery on Locust Street in Davenport

Davenport police are on the search for a man after a reported robbery during the late morning hours on Monday.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — A man was robbed at gunpoint in the middle of 5 Points neighborhood in Davenport.

A statement from the Davenport Police Department indicated that an armed robber approached a victim around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 7 in the 1500 block of West Locust Street, an area where several businesses are located.

The robber showed a handgun to the victim and demanded money, said police.  After robbing the man he ran off.

Police said the robber was described as being a black man in his 30s wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

There were no reported injuries.
