MOLINE, Illinois-- Fire crews are looking into what caused a fire at an abandoned home late Wednesday, September 25.
Crews were called to 7th Street and 4th Avenue around 11:30 p.m., near the Element Hotel where witnesses saw smoke coming out of the second floor.
As firefighters worked to put out the flames a nearby home was evacuated. Those residents were later allowed back in their home.
Damage is estimated around $30,000.
There was nobody inside the burning home at the time of the fire.
