CLEVELAND — It's almost time.
MetroHealth announced on Friday that they are beginning to see more patients again and that the appropriate steps are being taken to resume annual check-ups, childhood immunizations, preventive tests and diagnostic procedures like cardiac stress tests amid the COVID-19 crisis.
In addition, MetroHealth announced on their website that they want to begin providing care again with patients and their families.
"Your health and the health of your family is too important to postpone necessary care," MetroHealth said in a statement.
The MetroHealth System also announced that they have implemented the following safety measures at all campuses and health centers, including:
- Checking all patients and visitors who come to our facilities for fever and respiratory symptoms
- Requiring everyone who enters any of our sites to wear a mask for the length of their visit
- Ensuring patients stay a safe distance from each other in waiting rooms and other areas
- Disinfecting all areas thoroughly and often
- Limiting visitors
- Allowing only those patients who need medically necessary assistance to bring one adult support person
- Scheduling in-person visits only when it is the best option for the patient
- Continuing to use telehealth options whenever possible
