Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, in correspondance with a statement from President Trump, ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from the morning of Saturday, May 23rd to the sunset on May 24th.

The order comes after President Trump proclaimed the honoring of victims of the COVID-19 pandemic across the country.

Flags will be at half-staff at all Iowa public buildings for the almost two-day period, and Reynolds urges private citizens to also lower their flags.
