Financial relief related to the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus, new travel restrictions and federal tax filing deadline pushed back on 3News Now

CLEVELAND — On Friday's 3News Now, the top headlines include the latest on COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the US and here in Ohio, and changes to travel between the US and other countries.

Plus, President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the federal income tax filing deadline has been pushed back to July 15, and that financial relief is coming for people with student loans.

Dr. Brook Watts from MetroHealth has a reminder for all of us on what to be most careful about in terms of the spread of this illness.

Ahead of his 2 p.m. press conference on Friday, Governor Mike DeWine, who has implemented a series of orders to help stop the spread of COVID-19, shared updates on Twitter about help for small business owners, and information about resources for mental health for our children at this uneasy time.

While we focus on our health and wellness, people are stepping up in big ways to make sure our basic needs are met, including Cleveland Cavaliers' Kevin Love, who donated $100,000 to help workers put out of jobs by the closing of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, and Cavs' Larry Nance, Jr., and Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and 3News special correspondent, Emily Mayfield, who donated a combined total of $150,000, split between the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank.

On Thursday, with a big of ingenuity, Greater Cleveland Food Bank was able to serve 1,203 families in just a few hours, using a drive-thru method.
